Property Tax Relief & Accountability
Rising property taxes continue to put pressure on families, seniors, and small business owners across District 5. Many homeowners feel they are being priced out of the communities they worked hard to build.
Larry supports cutting property taxes and increased accountability in the appraisal process. He believes taxpayers deserve transparency, fairness, and a state government that respects private property and local control.
As your senator, Larry will fight to cut property taxes. We will require all tax increases to have a 2/3 voter approval, and cap the amount of appraised property value increase on your property to a maximum of 5%, and only every 4 years.
Health Care & Responsible Use of Artificial Intelligence
Health care is one of Larry’s top concerns for District 5 families. He is especially concerned about the growing use of artificial intelligence in health care decisions.
Larry strongly opposes the use of AI to deny medical treatment, delay care, or reject insurance claims. He believes medical decisions should be made by doctors and patients—not algorithms.
Larry will work to author legislation that protects patients, promotes transparency, and ensures technology is used to support care—not restrict access to it.
Public Safety & Border Security
Safe communities are essential for families and businesses to thrive. Larry supports law enforcement and policies that keep neighborhoods safe and secure.
He believes border security is a critical component of public safety and supports strong, responsible enforcement that protects Texas communities while respecting the rule of law.
Larry will work to author legislation that supports law enforcement, strengthens public safety resources, and ensures state policies prioritize community safety.
Education & Families
Larry believes education works best when parents and teachers have a strong voice. He supports policies that promote accountability, local control, and educational opportunities that prepare students for success.
As a husband and father, Larry understands the importance of strong families and schools. He believes state government should support—not undermine—parents, educators, and local communities.
Larry will work to author legislation that strengthens education, supports families, and respects community values.

As a retired professional, Larry has the time and availability to serve as a full-time senator and remain engaged with constituents throughout the year.
